I am writing this review after reading the 3rd book of "The Carringtons" boxed set.Grant Carrington, racing car driver, is now a shell of his former self, due to a leg injury, which by medical standards should have in a wheelchair. A chance encounter, with Carrie, a young trained physical therapist, seeds the idea that although he isn't where the doctors said he should be, he may further assistance to beat his injury.
Off course, there is a romantic pull between Carrie and Grant, which makes for sizzling reading.

This is the best one so far, I loved Carrie and Grant's story of hard fought love and learning to let go of preconceived notions of what they wanted to embrace their new love. Their story was touching, with just the right amount of twist to keep you turning the pages. I look forward to reading the next one in the series.

Carrie Harlowe is a good woman. She doesn't come from much but she's worked hard to become a physical therapist and then of all the things to happen; she meets Jerry Maxwell (a member of another prominent family) and becomes engaged. Jerry is all about ambition and having a beautiful Carrie on his arms helps that so he doesn't notice how much he doesn't fill Carrie's heart up. Yes, Carrie has been described as cold and in some ways she has started to believe it for she's never been consumed by passion before. At a Maxwell part Carrie finds herself accidentally locked into a wine cellar with a man she's never met before. Grant Carrington is the son of the prominent Carrington family and a famous race car driver. At the Maxwell party he can't help himself and he boldly kisses Carrie and then walks away and disappears into the party. Unfortunately for Carrie she can't decide what that kiss was....her imagination or a huge electrical jump started kiss that has left her believing maybe it was all a dream. What happens when you take a broken man with a winning ego and a determination to let nothing stop him from getting what he wants and a girl full of life,love, and joy and put the two together? Do you get a fixed man who leaves to win at something again and a heartbroken girl or do you get the love of a lifetime?! Fantastic book.
Helen Conrad has surpassed herself with this book... I have to say that this is the best book one so far... I loved Carrie and Grant's story.. their hard fought love.. and the ability to let go of preconceived notions.. of what they wanted to embrace in their new love..Their story was touching.. with just the right amount of twist and turns..to keep you turning the pages over and over.. oh boy I am so looking forward to the rest of these awesome books.. Helen Conrad has become one of my favourite authors.. I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars.. download this series you will never go wrong
